Heidi DuBose developed a passion for writing and directing at a young age. Forbidden to indulge in the wonders of non-christian music and movies, she used her imagination to paint the world around her. She found inspiration in the rain that enchanted Portland and began to write stories. Finding immense... joy in her passion for storytelling, she wrote and directed short stories for video from the ripe age of 16 and grew to pursue a career in film. She finished her BA in Media Arts, writing & directing three short films in that time. She is the co-owner of Digital Sorcery and works as a boom operator & dialog editor. She passionately crafts sound for short and feature films. Working on great independent films such as "Pretty Ugly People," starring Octavia Spencer and Melissa McCarthy, "Women in Trouble" and "Elektra Luxx" directed by Sebastian Gutierrez, "Sparks" directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, "Coming Through the Rye" directed by Emmy winning director James Sadwith and "Certain Women" by critically acclaimed director Kelly Reichardt. During this time she has also worked as an editor and director on short films, promotional videos, commercials, feature films, and music videos, spreading her love of storytelling around the world. Heidi directed and edited five professional music videos including "Monster in a Human Suit" for award winning musician Maiah Wynne. Many of her scripts have placed in highly in competitions, with "Romance & Higher Primates" and in 2013 for her television pilot "Unbroken" placing in the top 10 the Creative World Awards. "Romance" was also a finalist in the Slamdance "script accessible" screenwriting competition, and won "Best Romance" & "BEST of FEST" in 2011 at the Love Unlimited Film Festival. Heidi wrapped Principal Photography on her first feature a teen-horror-musical, combining her knowledge of sound, skill for writing, and passion for directing in a hauntingly beautiful film called "Feral."
