Mark Racop
Mark Racop began studying filmmaking at the age of two, when he was always asking his father, "How do they DO that?" The elder Racop would answer, "Trick photography." The lad began reading every single "making of" book that he could lay his hands on, and was soon even making... his own movies. Long before fanfilms were the norm, Racop made three Batman fan films in high school and college. It was the third film that changed his life, when he entered it in the David Letterman Scholarship contest at Ball State Univeristy, where Racop was majoring in telecommunications with a film emphasis. He won a $3,500 scholarship, and this award opened many doors. After working on several professional movies, Racop decided again to get back into filmmaking. "Starship 1: Havoc On Homeworld" (aka "Rock n Roll Starship") was his first professional effort. Racop owns an 8,300 square foot movie studio in Logansport, Indiana, where he shoots movies, commercials, documentaries, and music videos
