Vasil Vachev
Vasil Atanasov Vachev is a Bulgarian actor. He was born on June 14, 1925 in village Stubel, region Montana, Bulgaria. In the period from 1948 to 1950 he graduated College institute for teachers in Vratsa. In 1949, he became a member of the Union of Bulgarian Actors. Then he worked... in theater and in cinema. He played in many Bulgarian movies: "The Peach Thief", "Bubble", "The Eighth", "The Longest Night" ,"Flood", "A White Magic", "The Boy is going" ,"The Penleve Case," "Royal", "Carom", "Green Monster", "The Stolen Train", "Dragon", "The Wall" and the TV series "Blue Light". Her acting fame became in 1963 with the film "The Irreconcilables " , directed by Yanko Yankov. His convincing performance as dumb won high praise from film critic and determined his future film career: a master of supporting characters. He put in his roles of Bulgarian peasant, a Bulgarian soldier the feeling of authenticity. These images are transferred him directly from his life - from his native village of Stubel and people who truly knows and loves, and from the front, where he participated himself. Great directors as Vulo Radev, Borislav Punchev, Gueorgui Stoyanov, Yanko Yankov found in him the talent of the silent hero "charismatic charm of delicate yet rigid soul of Bulgarian peasant." Silent heroes of Vasil Vachev became an integral part of Bulgarian Film Arts in the 60th and 70th. For years, he built an image after image of the scene of Vratsa Drama Theatre: Kutzar in "Albena" by Yordan Yovkov; in "Sleeping Beauty," "Paths", "Cold Land", "Borislav", "Emilia Galotti", "The Prosecutor", "Buried Sun", "A Girl Seeks the Truth", "Dress-maker from Saigon "," Mary Stuart", " Shining Dawn "," Repair "," Locked Spring ", " Wings ", " Prespa's Bells "," The Living Corpse ", "Under the yoke". These are some of his productions which will remain in the golden fund of Vratsa Theater.
